Registration for Salem Community Chorus
Fall/Winter Season 2025
- Rehearsals begin on Monday September 8 at Saint Mark Lutheran Church, 790 Marion St. NE, Salem, OR 97301 (New Members are welcome to join anytime during the first month). This is a non audition chorus so you can pick the part you want to sing. If you are unsure what part would suit you there are apps that can tell you what your vocal range is or you can just come to rehearsal and we can help you out.
- The dues for this season will be $60, (If paid by credit/debit card there is a small processing fee). This can be paid by CASH, CHECK or CARD at any Monday evening rehearsal and with CARD on our website through. We never want finances to stop someone from singing with us so there are scholarships and payment arrangements available. Please speak to Membership(Leah) or email membeship@scchorus.net if you would like to take advantage of one of these.
- We do not stick to a formal attendance policy but assume that you will want to prepare for concerts by attending as many rehearsals as possible. However, we realize life happens and some days we don’t feel well. The choir is large enough that if you must miss a practice or a concert, collectively the group will be okay.. We do ask you stay home if you feel unwell for any rehearsal or concert.
- Throughout our season photos and videos of the chorus may be made. By completing this registration, you consent to being informed and grant permission to use your likeness without compensation. (If you disagree, please speak to a Board member. We would like to respect safety concerns.)
- By completing this registration, you consent to being informed and agree to safeguard each other and report concerns to a board member at once. Safeguarding involves intentional and unintentional harm. The board of directors not only wants to prevent but also respond to any abuse, sexual exploitation, neglect, discrimination, physical and emotional harm, and harassment.
- Concert dates will be TBA. We strive to have multiple performances each season. Possible concert times could be on a Monday evening, Saturdays anytime, or a Sunday afternoon.
Hello, my name is James. I am the current president of the Salem Community Chorus. I am super excited to welcome everyone back as well as meet all of our new members. I believe this is going to be an outstanding season. After all, we are "Friends Making Music & Music Making Friends".
